2 Weekss!

Well, it is officially two short weeks until I leave for New Jersey! I am just getting home from school after finishing up with all of my exams and making that long 3.5 drive I have come to know oh so well. I can honestly say I am absolutely pumped for this summer! I can not wait to see the incredible things God has in store for my team & myself and the people we are going to meet. As the project is approaching so closely it is so hard not to get a little anxious about everything. It is only two weeks away and I still need to raise $1600 for this trip. I would like to thank everyone who has been so gracious so far in supporting me both financially and spiritually! Some verses that are speaking to me right now are:

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
-Joshua 1:9

"...but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
-Isaiah 40:31

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."
-Colossians 3:23

Please continue to keep me in your prayers as the final pieces come together and it is time to head out!

  1. Hi Chelsea....Your mom told me about your mission trip. I just wanted to let you know that we'll be in prayer for you here at 106.9 the Light, asking God's provision of funding. You're going to LOVE doing mission work! My daughter, Misty, did several domestic trips here in the states before going with a group from our church (Grace Community) to Senegal West Africa. Each time, she experienced something that remains in her heart today.

I guess it goes without saying that, here at the radio station, there are speakers all throughout the building. So, we hear our programming and music in the background. As soon as I accessed your blog, Chris Tomlin's "I Will Follow" began playing. Now, THAT is not a coincidence. God is going to provide the finances necessary and He's going to use you mightily as a vessel in furthering His kingdom!

    Blessings,
