A Southern Girl in a Northern City

Sooo I am in Wildwood, New Jersey and have been here for over 24 hours now! Yayyy :)) Let me try to get everything that I am feeling in this moment out! I am so excited and absolutely love it here! So lets begin with my flight! My flight to New Jersey was my first flight everrrr and I absolutely loveddd it! It was so cool to be flying above and in the clouds :) words just really couldn't describe how incredible it was :) While I was on my flight I read an entire book ( I neverrr read so this was definitely a change and obviously a pretty short book if I read it all on a two hour flight) the book was called "Just do Something" and I am not really positive of the author of but it is a Christian book and I would definitelyyyyy recommend it to anyone! It really kind of hit me in the face but it was a great hit! It talked about how we get so wrapped up in waiting on God's will that we actually end up never doing anything but waiting... we often get tied up on things that just aren't as important like where we live, our job, who we marry, etc. It was talking about God cares about our obedience towards and that when we are walking closely with Him we are goin
to begin to attain wisdom from Him which will help us in making decisions and know what would be pleasing to Him and what shouldn't. I really almost beg anyone of you who is reading this blog to go buy this book! It literally costs $10 and it just might change your life, no matter what age you are. Like I said earlier, I am not one to read so that is really saying something about this book.
Sooo... how is Wildwood?! Wonderful! We begin this morning with some praise and worship and then some informational sessions followed by a quite time on the beach and following that we went job searching! Oh yeahhh! I got a job! Yayy :) I am going to be working at the amusement park here and I am pretty excited! Let me kind of explain everything here. We all for the most part live in one big house, it is divided into five levels and each level is apartment style. Now these are probably not the apartment style that you would typically think of, this house was built in the 1800's so we are definitely not living in a luxury suite, it actually looks more like a haunted house haha but the community here is great. I live with 4 girls, we are all in one room with three bunk beds, we each have one dresser and we share a kitchen and bathroom. I live with three amazing girls and I can not wait to get to know them better. Sorry for how scatter brained I am on here, I know I am pretty bad but we do not really have internet and my computer is about to die so I am trying to get everything in :) Just so all you southern people know... the sweet tea is NOT sweet tea here... yuckk!! I am going to have to go and buy some to make and introduce these people to the greatest things everrr :) And can I just say, everyone up here loves a little southern bell and her accent! I thought I was going to get ragged on buttttt everyone loves my accent and always wants me to talk haha. I am up here with one girl from Georgia and we are holding it down with our southerness (my new word) :) Oh and by the way, the two of us were on the same plane and didn't even know it! What's the chances of that?! haha. Well I think that is about all I have time to say right now. This week is just kind of settling in for us and discipleship for us, next week we will begin missions and outreaches.

I cannot wait to see what God is going to do!! I will update you all soon! :)
